The Volunteering organization Donk Humanitarian Medicine operates mainly on the territory of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, but also supports international projects aimed at the care and the protection of health. The work of the Association is divided into several activities that concern health care, the promotion of the values of volunteering and the dissemination of the culture of peace, solidarity and human rights.
The activity of the volunteers of the Volunteering organization Donk Humanitarian Medicine is carried out in 8 clinics open 5 days a week and through phone consultation 7 days a week.
On the one hand, Donk’s activity is a reference point for the people in need and the migrants who need medical care but do not have access to the National Health System, and on the other hand it relieves the pressure on the ER services, used by the whole community.
The Volunteering organization Donk Humanitarian Medicine recounts the activity of the Association through the publication of a report that summarizes the activities, commitment, projects and initiatives spread throughout the territory.
