DonK HM’s intervention aimed at creating a center of excellence in Africa – with the epicenter of the city of N’Djamena and Tchad, one of the poorest countries on the African continent – for the management of cardiac stimulation and for the training of local medical and health personnel will start on 15 January 2021.
All this thank to an important contribution form the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, assigned to the association in the context of international cooperation projects (regional law of 30 October 2020 “Interventions for the promotion, at regional and local level of development cooperation activities and international partnership”).
The project is called the African PACE Project and also aims at the development of an international network for the activation of telemedicine and the field survey to investigate the possibility of using reconditioned devices, reducing the costs of medical procedures that are still too high for patients in the countries developing and enabling access to medical care for millions of people.
