The book is born from the journey of a community of intercultural practice, financed by the project Attivagiovani FVG. It was written by various young authors who participated in the activities of the project.
The book is a collection of eight stories written by Baqar Ali, Shahzaib Ali, Adil Hussain, Teresa Lagovini, Chiara Stella Lorenzi, Sara Mauro, Alessia Schwanauer and Emma Venuti, with the supervision and collaboration of Ilaria Margherita, Emily Menguzzato, Carlotta Zanettini and Alì Mudassar, who have made it possible to create this unique book.
We are happy that among its pages you can also find Sara’s story, who has been an Universal Civil Service volunteer in our association.
The editor of “Storie da Stereotipi – Tutti sorridono nella stessa lingua” is Emily Menguzzato, with the participation of professor Gabriele Blasutig, associate professor and lecturer in Sociology of Migration at the University of Trieste.
This book invites us to overcome stereotypes, to open ourselves to new cultures and to recognize the beauty of a world united by our humanity.
“Storie da Stereotipi – Tutti sorridono nella stessa lingua” will be presented at Teatro Miela, free entry, on Thursday 12 October at 7pm, as part of the Festival S/paesati. We invite you to participate! Info: https://www.miela.it/spettacoli/storie-da-stereotipi/
