The fourth event of SALUTE! Festival del Volontariato e della Medicina Umanitaria took place yesterday evening at the bar/bookstore KNULP in Trieste.
Dr. Gianluca Gregorig and Dr. Francesco Zanuttin talked about their volunteering experiences to a large audience of young students and people interested in themes of solidarity, in order to show the human aspect to a profession considered typically technical.
Both are satisfied with the meeting, since it has allowed them to show the students of dentistry and the health care professionals the importance of knowing the patient’s life story in order to learn to see them as a person above all else.
Our president Stefano Bardari has introduced and moderated the debate.
The evening is born from our collaboration with AISO – Associazione Italiana degli Studenti di Odontoiatria, a free association consisting of students graduating in the italian Bachelor programs in dentistry and dentures. The association is a member of the European Dental Student Association (EDSA) and of the International Association of Dental Students (IADS).
We thank all those present, the speakers and Anna Del Signore, cultural advisor AISO of the Trieste section, who started this beautiful synergy between associations.
