Sunday 20 October saw the conclusion of the crowdfunding Explain the sails with Donky and street medicine, published on the Rete del Dono website, to support the Right to health of the most fragile and Street Medicine with Donky, the mobile clinic purchased and set up to allow our volunteer doctors and nurses to meet the medical needs of those who have difficulty accessing the National Health Service and help as many people as possible.
The fundraising was opened on the occasion of Barcolana’s Charity Program, which has Non-Profit Organizations as protagonists and sees crews, participants and supporters of the regatta also grappling with a solidarity race: raising funds for a cause dear to them.
We are very happy to announce that € 2569 was collected thanks to the generosity of no less than 48 donors and personal fundraiser Massimo Jenko, who supported our project from the very first moment.
Thanks to those who donated and chose to stand by the most fragile people, and thanks also to all those who shared and spread our appeal.
It is also thanks to the donations we have received that we are able to intervene in the places where the most fragile people gather and bring them first aid through street medicine.
Thanks to the support of so many generous donors, we are able to finance new days of health care through our travelling medical center Donky, equipped with medicines and everything needed to carry out two visits at the same time and provide general medical services.
