The festival SALUTE! is about volunteer work and humanitarian medicine and is now at its second edition. It was an idea of our president Stefano Bardari, with the aim to share with our community the experiences and stories of all those who every day take care of the fragile and the less fortunate.

This festival is full of different initiatives with no temporal or space limitations, that are meant to inspire the creation of virtuous relationships, promote peace, solidarity and the respect of Human Rights, and to be an inspiration to all those who are part of the health professions world.

In the first edition the festival was about humanitarian medicine, volunteer work and solidarity, dental volunteer work, volunteer tutorship. Various associations, which take care of the fragile and the destitute, came from all over Italy to participate.

The first event, which is the opening of the new edition, is programmed on Saturday the 16th of March at 2:30 pm in “Sala Bobi Bazlen” inside the Palazzo Gopcevich (G. Rossini street, nr. 4 – Trieste). Our guest is Espérance Hakuzwimana, cultural activist and author.

The event is divided into two parts:

> from 2:30 pm to 4 pm: educational workshop titled “Di fili e di nuvole”, in which Espérance will hold creative activities on the theme of inclusion for children (suitable for ages 8-12).

> from 4:30 pm to 6 pm: a discussion titled “Il razzismo è una brutta storia” addressed to adults, in which Espérance will talk together with Francesco Codagnone, journalist for Il Piccolo, about racism and inclusion.

Thanks to the collaboration with Libreria Minerva it will be possible to buy Espérance Hakuzwimana’s books the day of the event.

The event is free of charge with limited seating. We recommend booking your place if you want to participate. You can find all the details at the following link:
